When I was around 5, I was introduced to Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens. My father had 1950's original LPs. I had found something that caught my interest. There were many records in our cabinet. Among them were my Father's as well as my brothers, who were in high school around that time. Kiss! Many, many Kiss LPs! I started paying more attention, discovering Van Halen, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, etc. I went through many genres of music from about the age of 7 through high school including rock, pop, country and rap. By the time I was 13, I had an extensive cassette tape collection. Then, grunge came. Nirvana, Helmet, Pearl Jam, Rollins Band, Melvins, Live and Soundgarden. I convinced my parents to trade in my brother's violin from junior high for a Washburn electric guitar and a small Crate practice amp. After alternative music wasn't enough, I got into classic rock, then Jeff Healy, Stevie Ray Vaughan and other blues music as well as some swing jazz. Then onto old Metallica, Incubus, Sepultura, Pantera, Slipknot and Stuck Mojo, Steve Vai, some Satriani, Skynyrd and so on. I continued to play through my teens, sometimes hours a day. After awhile, other things started to distract me from my playing. License, cars, females and recreational experimentations......typical! In 2005, after 5 years of hardly playing, I decided to pick up my guitar again. This time, I am determined to give it everything I have. With the love and support of my friends and entire family all around. I am having fun doing something I love!
